"Career Specializations and Licensing"

This plan builds on the academic core components and includes school-based learning and work-based learning experiences leading to both academic and occupational competencies.

   The following are the minimum requirements set by the Florence Ag-Science instructors to receive one of the Career and Technology Specializations.  Students meeting the requirements for one or more specializations will graduate wearing an Agriculture Honor sash.

Practicum in Food Processing (Meat Lab II) or Science Research and Design or Career Preparation 1 (Coop)

Ag Business/Communications

*Principles of Agriculture or Food and Natural Resources

*Professional Standards in Agribusiness

*Professional Communications (Speech Credit)

Entrepreneurship or Radio Broadcasting 1

Radio Broadcasting 2 or Problems and Solutions 1 (INDP) or Career Preparation 1 (Coop)

 

Animal & Food Industry

*Principles of Agriculture or Food and Natural Resources

*Advanced Animal Science (Science Credit)
